Mark your calendars

Friday, June 21st is National Take Your Dog to Work Day!

We are so excited to have our four legged family members join us during our daily grind.

What if your boss won't let your furry friend join you? What if your company won't allow pits? What if little Fido is still teething? Nashville PITTIE has a solution. Join us for the first ever "Take Flat Stouie To Work Day."

Who is Flat Stouie? Some of you may remember the "inflatable" Stouie from Nashville Paw Magazine's October 2012 cover. He's a super awesome rescued pit bull who serves as a therapy dog to children in Project READ as well as to Hospice patients around Nashville. He is the inspiration and image for the Flat Stouie project.

As a flat dog Stouie gets to travel the world meeting new friends, visiting schools, and going places that other pits aren't able. Not only does Flat Stouie encourage reading, writing, and research world wide, but he also spreads positive awareness for pitties everywhere!

Share your Flat Stouie work adventures by:
  • Writing/uploading a picture to his Facebook page: www.facebook.com/FlatStouie
  • Instagram or Tweet a picture #FlatStouie
  • Email stouie@nashvillepittie.org so we can blog about it.
We can't wait to read about all your work place adventures!

Paws de Deux

Martin O Connor makes you wanna jump jump.
My inflatable version got his dance on this weekend.

Visit his site and like him on Facebook.

Let's snuggle

I got my snuggle on with two wonderful kiddos and one beautiful pup. It was so nice to meet the family of Mrs. Shepherd, teacher extraordinaire.

Meeting with the big wigs.

Flat Stouie Volunteers for Nashville Paw Magazine

Helping Nashville Paw post the awesome news to our Facebook page that the ag-gag bill is being vetoed by Gov. Haslam! It's an exciting day at Nashville Paw Magazine and I couldn't be happier!

Just another day as an intern pup.

Begging for treats with MollyBear and Briley.

Shelboo hangs out with Flat Stouie being good dogs. NOT being good is sister Briley, who shredded something (as you can see in the floor in the background.)

Who will be the next Nashville Paw cover dog?

I got to spend a few days at Nashville Paw Magazine! Did you know the inflatable Stouie was the October 2012 cover dog?

Here I am photo bombing their cover dog search. Who do you think will be the 2013 cover dog for Nashville Paw Magazine?

Spreading awareness about Pitties and spay/neuter for our Nashville Paw Foundation!

Trying on one of the Nashville Paw Magazine t-shirts... I  am extra excited that it featured a pittie in the design! You should order your very own at http://www.nashvillepaw.com/shop.

Yummy, I definitely approve of the Bubby Bear Bakery treats I sampled.

 Watching the talented Aimee Stubbs.

Hanging out on stage at our 2013 Nashville Paw Magazine Cover Dog Search!

Yay! Thank you to everyone who dropped a donation into the bin for the Nashville Paw Foundation to support local spay and neuter efforts!

I got to hang out with Shelby, last year's winner of the Nashville Paw Cover Dog Search, and Shelby's dad, Jim! What fun! — with Jim Moran.

Checking out the cover featuring Shelby, who won the Nashville Paw Cover Dog Search last year.

Flat Stouie attends the HSUS Animal Care Expo 2013

I am exhausted, I spent the weekend meeting some of the most INCREDIBLE people ever. What an honor and what an adventure.

I got to meet Rahul Sehgal of Humane Society International - The Director in Asia!! Wow!

..and Jackson Galaxy Cat Behaviorist of Animal Planet's My Cat from well....that really hot place! Here kitty kitty!!
I had my picture taken with  Seth Casteel of LittleFriendsPhoto!!! That guy takes amazing pics!! I wonder how I would look under water?

I spent some time hanging out in the Animal Farm Foundation booth with Caitlin Quinn & Thomas White! They LOVE pit bulls too!!

It was a blast joking around with two of my heroes Karla Goodson and Tim Woodward of the awesomely amazing Animal Rescue Corps!!

Just waiting for the "Rethinking Adoptable" by Pets Alive session to begin... — at Gaylord Opryland Hotel & Convention Center.

I was beyond sad at this ASPCA exhibit. Dogfighting stinks.

My new buddy Scotlund Haisley, President of Animal Rescue Corps!!!

My FAVORITE photographer Amiee Stubbs!!

Off to Japan

On my way to Japan. If you could go to Japan what would you do?

Who is Flat Stouie?

Lots of people have been asking about me and I think the Nashville Paw crew did a great job describing my fun adventures, so I am stealing it ;) Who is Flat Stouie? You may remember the "real" Stouie from Nashville Paw Magazine's October 2012 cover... he's a super awesome rescued pit bull who serves as a therapy dog to children in Project READ as well as to Hospice patients around Nashville. He is the inspiration and image for the Flat Stouie project. Flat Stouie is making the rounds to spread positive awareness for pitties everywhere!
